Inactivity Timeouts

IntelliIM app is synchronized across the iOS devices. Inactivity timeouts feature gives user flexibility of which device they want to receive their notifications and also let their contacts know that they are Away if a message notification is not responded within the set time.
In Settings tab:
Select Inactivity Timeouts >
The default is set to 3 minutes for Inactive and Away.

Inactive

Select Inactive after 3 minutes >
Select the time
Select Save button on top right
"Inactive after" allows users to set a timer(default 3 minutes) after which device is considered idle. This timer begins after the app is closed or becomes inactive. At the end of timer, if the app is still inactive, intelliIM will let OCS know that device is idle. This results in following:
App is considered inactive when it's not open because of end-user being busy on other tasks, mobile network connectivity or airplane mode .

- In case of OCS running on multiple devices, the end-user's status is shown " Inactive" if all devices are idle.
- If at least one device is active, the end-user's status may not show to be "Inactive" but the end-user benefits by receiving the notifications on the most active device. For example, if the end-user has intelli IM app as well as Lync client for PC or laptop, this feature will send the messages to the most active client. If iOS device has been idle for some time and Lync Client on the PC or Laptop is active, all the messages will go to PC client.

"Away after" allows users to set a timer(default 3 minutes) after which intelliIM shows end-user's status as "Away". This timer begins if the end-user doesn't open the app after receiving a notification. End-user sets the time preference after which status should be set to Away.
This feature gives contacts some info on end-user's availability on OCS when they sends a message.
